However, because it is not, we represent a wide array of private and public employers and their interests.  Your best defense in today’s litigious society is to be proactive in adopting effective policies and procedures, providing effective training for managers, and making well informed decisions. With this in mind, our practice group can quickly assemble an experienced and knowledgeable team to address any issue faced by an employer. We provide advice and assistance to employers with respect to unions, organizing campaigns, elections; negotiations and administration of collective bargaining agreements; strikes and picketing; arbitration and subsequent appellate litigation; and defense of unfair labor practice charges. We assist employers with the Family & Medical Leave Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act, and the worker’s compensation laws. We prepare employee handbooks, personnel policies and procedures, arbitration agreements, and separation agreements. We are available to provide training programs for employers and speak at seminars and workshops. We represent clients in all types of employment litigation. We can assist clients with claims of harassment and discrimination, wrongful discharge, breach of contract, defamation, the intentional infliction of emotional distress, worker’s compensation and retaliatory discharge. We can also assist clients with aid before the National Labor Relations Board, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration, and ERISA.
